Queen Nefertiti
Queen Nefertiti
Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen The coloring page above is based upon a 3,300-year-old bust of Queen Nefertiti. Nefertiti was one of the wives of the pharaoh Akhenaton (also called Amenhotep IV); he is known for having changed Egyptian religion to worship a single god, the Sun God (called Aten). The painted limestone work dates from about 1360 BC, during the 18th Egyptian dynasty, the Tell el-Amarna. The bust of Nefertiti was found in 1812 by the German archaeologist Ludwig Borchardt; he found it in Tell al-Amarna, located in southern Egypt. The artwork is in the Berlin's Egyptian Museum.
